Crazy About Lipstick Tag!

Hey Everyone!

So I was reading some of my fav BLOGS over the last couple of days and I ran across a TAG that I had to do. This is the crazy about Lipstick Tag and I stole it from the always witty Cheshire Cat and if you don't know who she is you should go check out her blog here:

http://cheshirecatchats.blogspot.ca

So with that being said let's get into this!

1. How many lipsticks do you own?
Honestly I can't answer this, mainly because it would take me forever to count and I don't know if it's a fair question seeing as most of my lipsticks are for my kit and not my own personal use but to appease the masses I will insert a photo so you can have some of an idea as to how many I have.

And just so I'm being honest that isn't all of them but at least I gave you an idea right?

2. What was your first lipstick?
This one was easy for me as it is hands down still one of my FAVS. It was Ruby Woo by MAC and yes it's super drying and yes that's crappy but the colour can't be beat!

3. What is your most worn lipstick?
Most worn......well the first one that comes to mind is MAC Syrup. It's just that kind of lip colour that looks good on everyone and is really wearable.

4. What is your favourite brand of lipstick?
This question had to be broken into to two for me to be fair.

High End: Is MAC, they just have such a  colour range and so many different finishes. You can find almost anything from shade to formula.

Drug Store: NYX and this is one I thought about for a long time. It has all the same reasons as MAC. Huge colour range and different formulas. They feel amazing on your lips and they last a really long time.

5. What is your favourite finish?
Within MAC it has to be the Amplified finish because I love that they aren't completely drying but they are beyond bright. They are really a WABAM lipstick. The Maybelline Colour Vivid's would be my FAV drugstore finish for the same reasons as the MAC amplified!

6. What is the last lip product you bought?

I just placed a SEPHORA order that I'm waiting to arrive with a bunch of FALL and BERRY tone lipsticks! I can't wait to show those to you guys.

7. How many lip products (everything) do you currently have in your handbag?
6 and don't look so schocked because more then half of that number is just lip balm/chap stick. I love having smooth lips so I always find myself reaching for something to hydrate my lips.

8. What lip product do you use to rock a red lip?
This is my go to RED LIP! I love it because it's bright and it lasts all day!

I use Cover Girl lip pencil in Passion and fill in my entire lip and then I put Cover Girl Hot Passion lipstick over top. Beautiful!

9. How do you store your lipstick?
Depends on which lipstick we are talking about, all my work/kit lipsticks are melted down and stored in a plastic container, which looks like this:

The rest of my collection is kept in a few drawers in my ALEX from IKEA. Some are in boxes and some are in acrylic containers, I'm not 100% happy with my lipstick, it's something I'm working on!

10. What lip products are you currently lusting after?
It has to be anything YSL, every time I look at one I want it but the price TAG always keeps me from buying them. I can just buy some many other products for the same price as one YSL.

That's it everyone, you have made it to the end of the TAG!

I TAG all of you to do this Crazy about Lipstick Tag or just leave me a comment with your current FAV lipstick!

Want Smooth Lips?

Hey Everyone!

So as most of you know I have dry to normal skin but once winter hits it becomes very dry and my lips take a beating! They crack and flake like crazy which drives me nuts, but I have found a fix. For months I have had 4 EOS lip balms sitting in a cup on my makeup desk and I was paying no attention to them but the other day I reached for one put it on and instantly fell in love with these AGAIN.

EOS has so many different flavors and types of these lip blame that it is easy to get confused so here is the break down.

There are 4 regular line normal formula choices (Pomegranate Raspberry is limited and I can't find it any where!) and these are the basics. They are 95% Organic and 100% Natural, they have vitamin E, shea but term and jojoba oil.

Summer Fruit

Strawberry Sorbet

Honeysuckle Honeydew

Sweet Mint

My hands down favorites are Sweet Mint and Strawberry Sorbet!

Then there is Lemon Drop which is the same as the above but also has SPF 15 in it so this is my favorite to use in the summer.

Medicated Tangerine is my favorite at the moment, I don't go to bed at night without applying this to my lips. It's formulated with Zinc which helps heal cracked lips and keeps them moisturized all night or day! I have notice a real difference in my lips from the momment I started using this one.

Now for the next three I have been told these are very hard to get your hands on. Yes I'm talking about the limited edition Disney inspired by Alice and Wonderland trio. You get Blueberry Potion, Sweet Vanilla Nonsense, and Watermelon Wonderland. They even have the cute Mickey imprinted on the side!

I know I know at this point your think I have an addiction to EOS and your probably right. I love these lip balms and they are a great price for the size you get. Their quality is amazing and I love the way they smell and how that smells stays on your lips but doesn't annoyed your nose. EOS knocks it out of the park with their lip blame and I suggest everyone goes and try at least one!

September Glossy Box

Hey Everyone!

So I was so in LOVE with my September Glossy Box! It had 2 amazing full sized products and then 2 awesome sized samples and 1 smaller sized sample. I love how for the most part Glossy Box always seems to get a makeup product in our boxes, which to me is the reason I get beauty boxes so I appreciate that!

The first product we got was a full sized Wella Mirror Polish Shine Serum. This product can be used before you style or after to help smooth and also give your hair a nice high-gloss finish. I've used this product a few times and I love the way it gives my hair a shine without making it feel oily and it has an amazing scent!

Next we got two B. Kamins products but neither of them were full sized and that is probably my only complaint about my box this month. It would have been great to get a trail size of the body lotion and a full size of the lip balm. As far as the products go the body lotion takes to long to soak into the skin for me. The lip balm is nice but it leaves my lips feeling oily so I've started using this at night before bed and I like it! I can go to sleep and wake up and my lips still feel like there is balm on them.

Dove Cleartone is my new go to pitstick, this stuff is amazing! It smells really good and I've been using mine for about 3 weeks and I notice a real difference with the color in my underarm areas. It's like an exfoliator for your armpits, it's AMAZING!

The last thing the we got this month was the NYX The Crimson Amulet which was a Limited Edition product. In all honesty they could have just sent me this and that would have been enough.

This collection comes with so much stuff it's mind blowing! It has 24 eye shadows and for the most part they are all very pigmented and easy to blend. In this collection there are a good mix of mattes and shimmers. With this one box you can do so many eye looks I don't think you'll ever get tired of it!

And if the eye shadows weren't enough there are 5 blushes, 1 highlighter and 4 lip colors, WOW. It also has a HD eye primer and an eyeliner. There are 2 matte blushes and 3 shimmery blushes and the highlighter isn't over the top which is nice. It's adds a nice shimmer without being glittery.

All in all this was once again an AMAZING box! I type that so much I kind of get sick reading it but in all honesty Glossy Box always seems to blow my mind. Month after month they keep things fresh, provide great smaples, and it's always worth the price we pay for it.

Glossy Box - July

Hey Everyone!

So my July Glossy Box finally got here it was a pretty good value even after waiting almost 2 months got it to get here! We got 6 samples in this box and three of them are full sized, BONUS.

1. Zoya Nail Polish in Zuza
This nail polish was amazing! Easy to apply and was completely opaque in one coat, I added a second on to see if the color would change, the picture below was with two coats. It's a beautiful greenish teal color with sliver sparkles.

Full Size is worth $8.00 and we got a full sized product.
Score: 5/5

Why?
I love the formal, the color, it didn't chip at all, and how it went on it just two coats!

2. Alessandro International Pedix Heel Rescue Balm
This comes out as a cream formula rubs in and leaves no greasy residue. It has shea butter and tea tree oil in it and I noticed a significant difference in the smoothness and hydration of my heels in just 2 days.

Full Size is 100ml and worth $20.00 and we got 30ml for a value of $6.00 .
Score: 4.5/5

Why?
I will definitively be buying a full size of this product. It's a great value for the size and the product works great!

3. John Frieda Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution
This product was so different to use then any other hair product I have ever tried, you have to shake it cause it has a dual action formula that has to be activated. It really did help me fight my frizz, I have very curly hair that always get's frizzy when it's humid outside. When I used it I didn't find that it my my hair feel greasy but absorbed well and fought frizz.

Full Size is 60ml and worth $14.99 and we got 24ml worth $6.00 of product.
Score: 4/5

Why?
I really like this product but I have stuff that works better on my hair so this isn't something I will be purchasing.

4. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer - Cherry
Hands down my new favorite lip smoothing product. I LOVED it so much that I've already gone out and bought two more colors. I now have Watermelon and Caramel. These have a very strong minty scent which I don't mind at all. They also add a very nice even pigment to the skin. The cherry one is a reddish huge but my favorite is Caramel is a beautiful orange nude color that I am in LOVE with!

There is no PIC cause I can't find the one I took! I'll add one later!

Full Size is worth $5.99 and we got a full size product.
Score: 5/5

Why?
AMAZING! These are so wonderful, they smell amazing and they really help add color to the lips while giving you moisture your lips need.

5. Dove Softening Creme Body Wash
This is thick and moisturizer full formula that made my skin feel amazing. It helped with my dryer areas, mostly on my arm. The smell is pleasant and not too strong and this didn't cause my skin to break out at all!

Full Size is worth $5.99 and we got a full size
Score: 5/5

Why?
If you have dry skin you have to try this! I love the packaging and the scent didn't linger on my skin which I like.

6. Beauty So Clean Wipes
I am a huge fan of this product and I always carry some of these in my kit for work. These are great for if you want to keep your makeup products Bactria free!

Full Size is worth $12.50 and comes with 48 wipes and we got 4 wipes worth $1.00
Score: 4/5

Why?
I do love these but I don't like that we only got 4 of them to try!

In total we got $33.00 in product for only $15.00. Another great box from our friends at Glossy Box!
