So I got these blushes back in February and I have been using them fairly regularly from then until now and I'm still loving them! These are a very smooth and creamy formula and then glide on and blend on like butter, plus I LOVE their packing it's beyond cute!
Their are four colours in total but I only picked up two of them. The first colour I got was 03 Berry Pop and I knew I wanted this one right away. It's a beautiful medium toned pink colour and it gives your cheeks that perfect flush.
Hand Swatch look at the pigment on this blush!
The other colour I picked up was 02 Peach Pop and like Berry Pop this is also a very bright tone. This one is more of a peachy coral and have a beautiful sparkle to it.
Hand swatch you can see just how pretty this coral colour is!
I've been telling myself for weeks to go out and grab the other two colours and just haven't gotten around to doing it yet but I still plan to. I think these are defiantly worth the slightly higher price tag at $24.00 Canadian each.
So I got my November GlossyBox, which the made Christmas themed because we don't get it till December. I loved the paper on the inside, very christmasy, it was so cute! I love the normal classy paper that GlossyBox uses but it's nice to change it up once and a while.
As far as the products go we got a pretty good selection and all from different beauty categories which is nice. I like to try a mix of products and so I like when beauty boxes come with a good selection.
This first product we got is this Curel Hand Cream, which I was super excited for because we had gotten a foot cream a few months back from Curel that I loved. Sure enough I love the hand cream as much. It absorbs really quickly but it leaves my hands feeling very moisturized and my cuticles look amazing. We got a full sized product which is always nice.
Next product was a shower gel by Vitabath which is Paraben and Sulfate FREE, LOVE that! THis product has a very strong scent and that's the only think I don't love about it. I also think the scent is more manly, it's not floral or sweet, it smells kind of like Swagger men's body wash!
We got a small sized sample of Clear Scalp Shampoo and Conditioner. I don't love these types of samples because my hair is just so picky but I think I'll pass these along to the B/F and he can try it out. And just to clarify these small samples will give you 2 to 3 uses if you have med hair length so not to bad at all.
This next product is one of my favourite out of the whole box. It's a Nicole by OPI Keeping Up With The Kardashian nail colour! My colour was Keeping Up With Santa and I LOVE it! You can never have too many red nail polishes and this one is beautiful. It's a true bright red with a red sheen finish, it's stunning to look at!
Then we got a full sized lip gloss by Maybelline NY, mine was a pretty light peach colour. I don;t like this style of gloss because I don't like applying my gloss from a hard plastic end and I also found the gloss to be very scented and very sticky. So not a huge fan of it but do like the colour.
Lastly we got another Kryolon product made just for us Glossies! Last box we got a lipstick that was created just for us in the colour Glossy Pink and this time it was a blush. I love Kryolon products as they are a professional brand and make great quality products and then blush does not disappoint. It has great colour payoff but it's so smooth and easy to blend. I've been very it almost every day from the day I got it. Hit one out of the park with this one Glossy Box!
That's it for this box everyone. People have been asking me if I still think Glossy Box is worth it because they upped their prices. I have to say I really do! In Canada you can spend $13 on an average drug store product and in this box for $21 dollars we got a nail polish, blush and lip gloss and 2 other products as well you can;t beat that value!
Lately I have become obsessed with BLUSH! These are just few Rimmel blushes I found at Target on clearance that I was super impressed with and also some BOURJOIS blushers that I am loving!
So for anyone that doesn't know BOURJOIS was a brand that was carried at Sephora until a couple years back when I started to notice they didn't have it anymore, I loved their eyeliners! At that point to be honest I kind of forgot all about the brand but I was in my local Shoppers Drug Mart the other day and they had a whole section in the beauty boutique (our shoppers in Canada are split into two make sections, one for drug store and the beauty boutiques which are for the high end products). I was super excited and started playing with EVERYTHING but found myself coming back to their blushers. I picked up the three I couldn't bring myself to put down.
The first two of these blushers are more on the shimmery side which I don't mind at all and the last one in the pic is far more matter. All three of these are super pigmented and very smooth when applied and bendable which is a huge plus. I've heard people compare these to the Chanel blushers but these are a fraction of the price! The names on most of their products are in French and I'm guessing that's because it's a French company.
03 Brun Cuivre
34 Rose D'Or
74 Rose Ambre
And here are the three all side by side:
03 34 74
Out of all the colors they had at the store theses were the three I liked the most but just to let you know there were a few that when I swatched them the color pay off just wasn't there so if your interested in buying there please test them before hand!
On to the Rimmel blushes which I have to say for a drug store blush they really stood out to me. I found these very pigmented and easy to use. So many times with drug store blushes I find that you get no color pay off or you get them on your cheeks and they don't blend at all!
I don't like they way that Rimmel named these blushes and for the most part the name doesn't even come close to matching the color so I'll try and make that a little less confusing for you, I almost didn't buy one of them cause they called it Mauve and it's the most amazing peach color.
006 Autumn Catwalk
This one is the triple color blush and after playing with it I liked all the colors on their own but the color it makes when you swril all three together is just so pretty!
The med pink color on the far end is all three mixed together, I love it!
002 Mauve Cool is the first swatch and the name couldn't be more wrong! It the most beautiful peachy color with shimmer!
The Middle swatch is 018 Pink Sorbet and the last one is 003 Pink Rose.
I think that is the hardest part of buying drug store blushes because you don't get to try them before you buy them and sometimes names can be very deceiving!
Well I hope this was informative and help you guys out a little! Thanks for reading and if you want more information check out the video:
